Before Biggie went out to play, Mom said, “Now remember, don’t be afraid to explore. Go find what’s out there, my little bigfoot.”

Skeptic? Well, Bigfoot’s got a message for you too!
My dad got me into Bigfoot when he made up a crazy story about some character named “Indian Joe” who lived in a place called “Anthony’s Nose,” a mountainous cave in the great Northwest. He scared the snot out of me with his stories, but they were both shocking and engaging.
We would watch a show with Leonard Nemoy called “In Search Of,” and the main show in that series was all about Sasquatch. I also grew up watching Six Million Dollar Man, and there were episodes of him versus Sasquatch that kept me glued to the television. Later on in childhood, I often had nightmares of a Bigfoot clan living outside my bedroom window, and the Dad Bigfoot would try to lure me outside to kill me!
Bigfoot has been a major part of my life since I was a young child, and as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more curious about the possibility that Sasquatch is real, and that’s magical! Imagine there is a humungous bipedal creature lurking in the deep woods. The thought just lights me up, and I hope that others can imagine the magic in the big man.
My dad meant the world to me, and I miss him very much. He’s the main reason that I love Bigfoot so much!
Young Biggie Bigfoot waved goodbye and ran through the woods. He was excited to be off on his own. Before today, Mom was always holding Biggie’s hand. She was scared ever since dad disappeared a few years ago. She always had a watchful eye on her little big boy. But today, Biggie felt like a grownup bigfoot. The entire forest was his!
Biggie smiled and took a deep breath of fresh air as he imagined his dad running alongside him. This brought joy to Biggie’s heart. Biggie missed his dad. He was the biggest of the Bigfoot clan and was very protective of Biggie and his mom. They always had the best times together!

The woods were alive, and Biggie was glad to be a part of it. But then he heard a loud CRACK. He jumped behind a tree and peered out slowly.
“What are these things?” asked Biggie. One of them had a long stick and raised it. And then there was another BOOM. Biggie fell backward.

“Mom,” said Biggie, “do you believe in humans? I know you said they don’t exist, but Mom…I just saw some!”
Mom crossed her arms. “Now, Biggie. I don’t know what you saw, but you sure didn’t see any humans. They don’t exist.
For skeptics who believe firsthand accounts are all either cheesy or made up & images or video are fabricated, here are some common objections and answers to the possibility of Bigfoot’s existence.
If Bigfoot is real, why don’t more credible scientists get involved with research?
If there are thousands of supposed sightings, then why is it so hard for even experienced Bigfoot hunters to find one?
If Bigfoot was real, how is it that no one has either captured one or even captured a clear picture on a camera?
That night, Biggie laid out under the stars. “How can Mom say humans don’t exist? I saw them with my own two eyes. Walking, talking, and swinging around those boom sticks.”
I’ve always been the “Believer” outcast among friends and family. I believe it gives people hope to search for possibilities.
Like, we’re all alone on this earth and to think there there’s actually something else out there, undiscovered with intelligent and stealthy behavior – isn’t that so cool if it were true?
It’s even cooler to be a part of a community of like minded people. Imagine if someone finally captures irrefutable evidence without harming the creature, it will make all of these pursuits in the possibilities all well worth it!
This life can be so mundane and routine, it’s nice to break away into the magic of something else.

He was so curious he stood up and went to their cave. Mom always told him to never look inside her special box since dad disappeared years ago. But now, Biggie needed to know the truth! So, he opened up the box and peered inside. There were rocks, dried flowers, and four-leaf clovers. And there was a piece of paper with a picture on it. A picture of Mom walking at Bluff Creek!
When Biggie got home, Mom was upset. “What’d I tell you about running off to find humans?” She sat down and sighed. “You’re bold and adventurous like your father. I’m sure you saw that picture of me. Humans took that picture, but I didn’t know what they were doing or what that picture contraption was back then. I was afraid, so when I told your dad, he went off to find them.”
“And never came back,” said Biggie. “I know, Mom. But guess what? Humans saved me today. They’re not all bad! Most of the kids didn’t believe I was real, but one did. You see? Some of them believe the truth!”
Mom sat down and hugged her little bigfoot. “You’re a good son. I want you to be safe. Maybe most humans shouldn’t believe we’re real to keep us safe from them. But some with good hearts, like that little girl, will always see the truth.”

“Nothing is all good, or all bad. Our job is to try to always look for and choose or create the good, Biggie. I guess I got so afraid after your dad disappeared that I stopped believing that good even existed.” “You can’t stop believing in good, mama! Believing in something makes life worth it. It makes life fun and it’s fun when we discover the good that’s out there.” “You’re right, my son. If there were ever a time to believe, it’s here and now” said Mom with a big smile and a twinkle in her eye. “And boy, you wouldn’t believe all the fun your cousins have with the humans who truly believe, Biggie!

Biggie and Mom Bigfoot were relieved. As they walked back home, Biggie squeezed Mom’s hand. “You know, Mom,” he said. “Maybe it’s enough only a few humans believe in us. They have faith in us and know we won’t hurt them.”
Mom squeezed back and said, “My little Biggie, you’re going to make a great Bigfoot. And you know what? Most people won’t ever believe in us. They’ll talk about our kind around the campfire like ghosts, goblins, and our cousins, the Yeti.”
Biggie giggled. “Well, mom, we don’t have to believe in every human, either!”
